Time Goes By....

I'm sorry for not keeping this up for almost three weeks! I have kept notes however, and did figure out how to make this blog and transfer pics and old news. Hopefully you can see that I've not been completely lazy in keeping in touch with you all. So, I'm going to try to catch you up abit.....

About Feb. 7th, we arrived in Phoenix, AZ to meet up with our friends from MI, Carol and Doyle Rossow. They have rented a house for two months to get away from that lovely Michigan winter weather. We stayed with the Rossows for a couple of days and really had a wonderful time. We all talked alot trying to catch up on our lives and experiences. We really loved the house they were renting and of course the beautiful 80 degree, sunny weather. We also really enjoyed touring the Superstition Mountains near their home. Doyle drove us up the mountains. We stopped at a national park while there and learned a little about the Pueblo Indian ruins. We also went to Torilla Flats and saw an old pony express stop. We stopped and had some ice cream while there. Three of us had prickly pear ice cream which had quite a refreshing taste!

Another thing we really enjoyed while visiting Carol and Doyle was seeing woodpeckers that love to live in the saguaro cactus (pictured above), tiny squirrels the size of chipmonks, and bunnies all of which would come right up on their patio for some peanuts that Rossows provided. We had such a great time with our friends and hope to meet with them again once or twice in March.

On Friday morning the 9th, we started off towards San Diego, CA. We wanted to attend David Jeremiah's church and then head for Sarah and Matt's for a few days. We made it as far as Yuma, AZ when we got a call from Sarah that little Emma was quite ill with pneumonia and was going to be admitted to the hospital. We felt that we could go to San Diego another time and wanted to be with them while they were going through this difficult time. More info about that on my next entry.

Again I want to give God the glory for all He has done in taking care of Craig and I as we travel, visit with loved ones and friends, and marvel at His creation and how it constantly changes.
